HUNTSVILLE, AL – A two car accident eastbound on I-565 at the Parkway on ramp sent at least one person to the hospital and is causing major delays for evening commuters.

East bound traffic is backed up past the Parkway overpass and traffic on the ramp from the Parkway to eastbound I-565 is also jammed.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that the accident occurred when one vehicle slammed into the back of another that had stopped for heavy rush hour traffic.
